  • We needed a NEMA 14 50 outlet installed flush to the wall in our garage for my husband's new electric vehicle. I got four estimates from qualified electricians. I selected DOT for the work and am delighted with the work and with the owner's care in making sure we were satisfied with his work and the results. The electrician had to work with our full electrical panel and he was able to have that panel accommodate the needed space for the new outlet. One of the other electricians said we'd have to purchase a double electric panel, etc. which would have cost much, much more, and we didn't need that type of panel. We are happy to have chosen an honest and knowledgeable electrician for our needs. It's so nice to say we highly recommend this business for your electrical needs.

  • Picked DOT Electric because of the google reviews and was not disappointed at all. David moved an outlet to another area to help with our master bath remodel plans. He added a third switch on the wall so that each light had their own switch. He installed a piece in the peaked ceiling which created a flat bridge at the peak for a chandelier to be hung. While he was there to that we began to feel good about his abilities realizing how knowledgeable he was about his profession and the current codes to abide by that we asked him to come back and install the master bath chandelier and one in our foyer. The foyer has a 17ft ceiling in which he brought his own powered lift to do the installation. He was very patient as we gaged how long it should hang and how much each layer would tilt as we were out on our sidewalk deciding as we viewed it from there. We will use him in the future again and Definitely recommend.

  • David is the consummate professional. I originally brought him in my home to correct and update some outlets on a two-hour package. As he moved through my To-Do list, David explained what he was doing and offered suggestions that would bring my projects up to code. The list took much longer than two hours and David gave me a fair price for the extra time. I brought him back to update my electrical box and again, he was diligent, knowledgeable, didn’t make a big mess, and cleaned up after himself. Because of his fair pricing and work ethic I brought him back again to raise some electrical outlets in a sunken living room, and again to install and replace some recessed lighting. The only con about working with David is that new customers should prepared to wait. I am apparently not the only one who thinks highly of David as his wait list can be several weeks; although, he does set aside time for repeat customers and I plan on being one.

  • Great experience. We had to replace our water heater and opted for a tankless unit. We ended up deciding to upgrade our panel, he worked on a Sunday to make sure the work was done by the time the plumber came on Monday morning. Prices were fair, work was clean and professional all the way. Will use DOT Electric again to replace the outside panel in the near future.

  • I never write reviews, but David is so good as an electrician that I really needed to figure out how to signup to Google and write a review. Yes, he is that good. David is like the Michael Jordan of electricians in South Florida. I say that because he really stands out head and shoulders above everyone else. I have used David for 2 pieces of work, one in 2015 and again in 2019. In both cases, I had 3 other electricians come to my place to do an evaluation and provide a quote. David really stood out because his assessment is so thorough. He really studies the situation, explains everything that is going on, provides every possible option. As the founder and owner of his business, he takes enormous pride in his work. He is incredibly organized and does excellent preparation before every job. He’s very responsive. He keeps you up to date, mostly via text, on what is happening in terms of the approval of a permit, arrival times, etc… For a quote or the final bill, David will literally sit down for 20mins and write out very thoroughly all the work that was done so you have a good record of everything. For anyone that has engaged a contractor, plumber or electrician in the past and had a bad experience, you are kind of intrepid to reach out to someone in the trades again based on your experience. David literally shatters those impressions of bad trades people. You will never regret hiring David.

In addition David noticed that the electical box shouldn't have been in the condition that it was in because of the age of the unit. Sprinkler company was notified and they called me and said the sprinkler head was hitting the electical box and not the grass. Thank you David for taking the extra time to care... not all companies would do that.
